World Championship boxer Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire, Jr., of San Leandro has always viewed the “jab,” or front-hand punch, a fundamental technique in boxing. Now, he is naming his first non-profit organization after that basic technique. A 3-year-old San Lorenzo boy died last Thursday after his family’s home was destroyed in a fire. Tevita Langi was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley at about 8:30 p.m. on the evening of Dec. 20.
