The San Leandro High boys basketball beat Mt. Eden convincingly, 72-53, Friday but it wasn’t good enough in the eyes of head coach Todd Petersen. San Leandro improved to 3-1 in the Hayward Area Athletic League but that one loss to Castro Valley is still a fresh memory for the Pirates.
