The last time Lou Alaniz sat in the stands at San Leandro Ballpark her son Craig was on the mound pitching for San Leandro High. This time Lou not only attended the game, she took the mound and threw out the first pitch into the mitt of Pirates catcher Gene Felise to start a game played in the memory of Craig who died in January of brain cancer. ….
